Biography Being a photographer creates so many opportunities to work and meet with new people and this is what makes photography fun and rewarding. When people hire a professional photographer it is normally for an important moment is their life and it is a privilege to be a witness to these moments. What really drives me is capturing that moment with the perfect light so that the finished image just stands on its own and needs no explanation. I am always trying new equipment and techniques and developing myself technically be the best photographer I can be. I Studied HND photography part-time at Thames Valley Uni and started full time professional photography in 2004 but I have always had a love of image making. In my apprentice days I studied electronics engineering and the first job I had was in TV and Video repairs. In 1989 I started at Digital Equipment Corporation as a PC and Printer engineer which has given me an early adoption into the would of digital images and a deep understanding of the complextity involved when trying to output and work with digital files. Focusing on social photography for events, weddings and personal portraits with some commercial work with an IT magazine covering events all over Europe, Middle East & Africa, plus on location work with a major retailer. The masters that have inspired me are Cecil Beaton and Lee Miller.
